Smallfry has helped POWERbreathe develop the EX1. A hand-held, drug-free, expiratory muscle training (EMT) device – developed to improve your expiratory muscle strength, function, and endurance.

The EX1 provides resistance as you breathe out, making your expiratory muscles work harder to improve breathing strength. The product uses the ‘pressure threshold’ method of breathing training. By twisting the base, you can progressively adjust the difficulty level as your expiratory muscles become stronger.

Smallfry was responsible for the mechanical engineering, industrial design, design for manufacture and productionisation of the EX1.
