FROM CONCEPT TO PRODUCTION IN UNDER 6 WEEKS
From concept to production in under 6 weeks, Smallfry rapidly redesigned Hoover’s existing pet tool to improve aesthetics, usability, and performance.
The design direction of the pet tool was updated to align with the visual brand language established in Smallfry’s previous award winning design of the Hoover HL5 Upright.
Our experienced design and engineering teams were able to work to the constraints of the existing pet tool while understanding what they could modify to make a difference. This enabled us to deliver a fresh 5-star rated product in record time.
FROM CONCEPT TO PRODUCTION IN UNDER 6 WEEKS
Working to a tight six-week deadline, we reskinned Hoover’s pet tool, redesigning its external form while preserving the original internal mechanics. Our efficient approach meant we could fast-track development, delivering a refreshed, high-performing product to market without compromising on quality.
ALIGNED VISUAL BRAND LANGUAGE
Our team thoughtfully incorporated key aesthetic elements from our HL5 design to create a new product that integrated seamlessly.
The intentionally geometric forms of the brushbar and turbine chamber are purposefully intersected in a powerful stance, while a chamfered white trim elegantly wraps around the front tying the two together, resulting in a clean, refined design that communicates both power and performance.
VALIDATION THROUGH ITERATIVE PROTOTYPING
Through an iterative and hands-on approach, we created and tested multiple prototypes to fine-tune the geometry to enhance both the usability, performance and aesthetics.
DESIGN READY FOR PRODUCTION
Our meticulous approach to design and engineering ensured that there were no costly delays when moving into production. Within 6 weeks, we delivered a complete 3D data pack ready for injection moulding and mass production, ultimately allowing Hoover to launch a fresh 5-star rated product to the market in record time.
