Time Critical Input
Smallfry were enlisted by VAX to improve their Dual V Advance carpet washer, which was to be launched imminently. Within just 8 weeks our team delivered a technically and aesthetically considered concept.
The design team use an iterative process, creating concepts sketches and marker renderings to pitch a broad range of ideas from each stage within the studio.
Ease of Use
Previous models suffered from a waste water tank with usability issues. Smallfry combatted this in its new design, meaning the appliance no longer has to be tilted back to remove the tank.
Several aspects of the project involved designing mouldings to incorporate existing patented VAX technology, such as the SPINSCRUB™ rotary agitation brushes in both the primary washer and auxiliary attachment.
Smallfry’s adaptable approach meant virtual CAD modelling was accelerated to rapidly convey the complex 3D concept design to VAX. This ensured that the time critical process was not delayed.
